- QUESTION:
- FREE DOMAINS (DOMAIN NAMES THAT DID COME FREE WITH OUR WEB HOSTING) - What steps are taken to transfer a HOSTED domain name (DOMAIN NAMES THAT DID COME FREE WITH OUR WEB HOSTING) AWAY/OUT of registerclub.com/nomonthlyfees.com to another DOMAIN NAME REGISTRAR (netsol, etc.) ?
ANSWER: - IF this is a FREE DOMAIN NAME that came with your web hosting package...
then, BEFORE we allow you to TRANSFER IT OUT to another REGISTRAR, we require that you gain control of the domain as detailed in the TOS that you agreed to when you signed up for the account: http://nomonthlyfees.com/terms_of_service_agreement.htm
This states that you can gain control over your domain name registration (if it was registered by NoMonthlyFees.com) by doing the following:
1. Go to www.RegisterClub.com 2. Create an account for free. 3. Purchase a $20 Domain Registration Credit. 4. Open a Tech Support Ticket, and provide the www.RegisterClub.com username, and the $20 Domain Registration Credit transaction id. Please tell tech support that you would like to take control of your domain name registration per the Terms Of Service Agreement. THIS DOES NOT RENEW THE DOMAIN NAME REGISTRATION. THIS ONLY GIVES YOU CONTROL OVER THE DOMAIN NAME. IF DOMAIN NAME NEEDS TO BE RENEWED, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PURCHASE ANOTHER REGISTRATION CREDIT TO RENEW THE DOMAIN NAME.
ONCE you have DONE this, and you now have control over the domain name, you can PROCEED to the instructions for
NON FREE DOMAINS
since the domain will no longer be a FREE DOMAIN included with your web hosting account, and you can now transfer the domain OUT to another REGISTRAR! ############################################################ Please be advised that this is a SUPPLEMENTAL Online Manual.
