QUESTION:
We are having trouble setting up our e-mail accounts in MS Outlook Express 5.0 we want to be able to recieve mail using outlook express 5.0 but this is the message i get when i try to recieve. Unable to logon to the server using Secure Password Authentication. Account: 'John Doe', Server: 'mydomain.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR Invalid command; valid commands: USER, QUIT', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18

ANSWER:
The KEY WORD here is:
Secure Password Authentication

You are not supposed to run that>

GO TO:
Your properties for that mail account.
Then click the Servers Tab
UNCLICK the selection:
Logon using secure password authentication.

That will fix the problem :)
